Corsair Strategies is an independent strategic communications practice founded by Josh Hoppen.
It was established to offer an alternative to the traditional agency model: senior-level thinking combined with direct execution, without unnecessary layers or infrastructure.
Corsair works with leadership teams, coalitions and growing organisations navigating complexity, competition or change. The focus is simple: clear positioning, disciplined communication and practical delivery that supports long-term growth.

Josh Hoppen
Josh Hoppen is a strategic communications advisor with over 14 years’ experience across corporate, technology and institutional environments.
He works with leadership teams to translate complex ideas into clear, credible positioning, combining strategic judgement with creative instinct and practical delivery.
Over the course of his career both agency-side and in-house, Josh has led international campaigns, managed significant client portfolios and built communications functions from scratch. As Deputy Business Director at ESG Communications, he advised international institutions and corporates operating across multiple markets. Previously, as Head of Communications at a cyberthreat intelligence firm, he established and formalised the company’s communications infrastructure.
He began his career at global agencies including Ketchum and H+K Strategies, advising multinational brands across technology and corporate sectors. Today, through Corsair Strategies, he works directly with founders, executives and coalitions, offering senior counsel without the layers of a traditional agency.
